The main challenge was to bring the circular economy vision of Biotrend Enerji, one of Türkiye’s leading integrated waste management companies, into a digital ecosystem; and to fully digitize the raw material supply chain within the traditional solid waste and recycling industry. The project focused on integrating sector-specific licensing requirements, industrial waste coding standards, and corporate operational processes into a transparent, secure, and scalable B2B architecture for both waste producers and recycling facilities.

By reinterpreting the dynamics of the recycling industry through modern B2B e-commerce principles, we positioned the “Secure Supply Directly from the Source” strategy at the core of the platform. While designing the user experience, we adopted a system architecture based on the principles of Reliability, Sustainability, Customer Focus, and Innovation, enabling industrial buyers and sellers to manage their business processes more efficiently. Complex operational workflows were transformed into a seamless three-step digital experience through approved memberships, transparent pricing, secure payment verification, and direct facility pickup processes.

The platform’s interface language was designed to combine a sense of corporate trust with a modern and sustainability-focused visual hierarchy. Advanced search and category filtering algorithms were developed to allow B2B buyers to quickly access the raw material types they need. A highly secure front-end and back-end infrastructure was built, where industrial-standard waste codes and baled product listings were clearly optimized, while price visibility was managed through corporate membership and approval mechanisms. Thanks to the mobile-first architecture, the platform was ensured to operate seamlessly, quickly, and reliably during field operations.
